Happenings

:: We've been home from the beach for a week, and I haven't blogged about it yet. I can't find my camera...I'm pretty sure it's around here somewhere!!! Plus, my dad is our family photographer and he has a ton of pics on his camera that I'm hoping to get a hold of tomorrow.

:: EJ has another ear infection in her right ear. This makes 3 in the right ear since April and one in the left ear. *sigh* She had a double ear infection about 4 weeks ago. The doctor said he wanted to recheck her ear in 2-3 weeks. Since we were out of town so much I didn't get a chance to take her in. She woke up Thursday morning with a runny nose and I knew that meant her ear hadn't cleared up. We went to the doctor yesterday and now she is on Omnicef. Bless her heart, she is always so good and the only way I know about her ears is when her little nose runs like a faucet.

:: I finally got smart and brought a coloring book and crayons with us to her dr appointment yesterday. They were perfect when she got antsy while we waited for the doctor to come in the room. I have no idea why her arm is in the air. Her eyes got really big and she said "OHHHHH" when I told her she could also color on the paper she was sitting on. She then completely forgot about her coloring book :)

:: AG turned 4 months old on the 2nd. I still haven't gotten her post written either. Bless her second-born heart. She is a butterball of fun!!! So smiley and chunky. I have realized that even though I thought I was memorizing every moment with my first baby there is still a part of me that wanted EJ to experience new things and reach new stages. This time around, I am truly loving each stage for the stage it is and not wishing for the next one so quickly {except when I wanted her to sleep through the night...that couldn't come fast enough :) }. It's so funny how your mindset can change in just a few months.

:: Speaking of changing mindsets, AG stayed home with Hubby yesterday while I took EJ to the pediatrician. As I was putting EJ back in the car to leave it hit me how simple it was with just her. I looked at her and said, "Just 4 months ago we used to tote around...just the TWO of us!!" It seems like so long ago and it's amazing how AG just fit right into our lives so smoothly and quickly.

:: I had 3 new main dish recipes on our menu this week and they all turned out to be winners! I love when that happens! Plus, EJ loved two of them which makes it even more of a win :)

:: I have a serious itch to rearrange a lot of the furniture in our house. The problem is I think everything is pretty much in the perfect place it should be. I know if we start moving things around, they will end up back where they started. Maybe I just need new accents colors instead. I blame all of this mental anxiety of furniture placement on pinterest!!!
