Today we were able to go to the B1lly Graham Center/Library for lunch and to see the petting zoo.
My father-in-law works at the ministry and we were able to meet he & my mother-in-law for lunch.
I had never been to the campus or library before, but I had heard so many great things about the building and where it was located. The main office building is built like a lodge in the mountains where Billy Graham now lives. It was SO beautiful!! It felt like we were away on a retreat instead of minutes from our airport and downtown!
Frankl1n Graham's son was walking by, so he offered to take a picture of all of us (me, EJ, Hubby, & my FIL)...minus my mother-in-law who wasn't there yet.
The picture above the mantle is an original Th0mas K1nkade. I love all his paintings! This picture doesn't do it justice for how large it really is!
I wish I had gotten a picture of the cafeteria where the employees eat. It is unlike any lunch area I've seen!! Large dining tables with 8 gorgeous chairs per table are in a room surrounded by two walls of floor to ceiling windows that look out over trees. There are exposed beams and it really feels like you are tucked away in the mountains!
After lunch, we went to the library across the parking lot.
On the left is B1lly Graham's boyhood home (it was relocated to the campus), the dairy barn next to it is the library, the silo is on the right.
Behind the house was a nativity scene with animals. It's a live nativity at night, but during the day you can come see the animals and pet them.
EJ loved the animals! She pointed and wanted to touch them all!
I love how she is standing in her stroller to get a better look :) {This sweet goat is pregnant with her first baby due the same time I am! Poor thing is SO tiny! At least her gestation is only 6 months according to the lady working there.}
The blonde animal in the front is a cow. A blue-eyed, blonde hair, Scottish Highland cow.
Brave little girl wanted to touch all the animals! I was afraid she was going to get her fingers bitten off!

Exhausted after a fun time with Pappaw, Mamaw, and the fun animals

Awww...what a FUN afternoon! Sweet EJ looks like she had a GREAT time!
The main office building is amazing. I met a friend out there for lunch a few times and felt like I was at a resort. Amazing. Jeremy's dad sang out there tonight, but we didn't get to go. Glad you guys had a good time. Your belly is so cute!
YOU look gorgeous!
That is gorgeous!!! And that petting zoo is amazing....not the animals you normally see at petting zoos!
I love that you posted about this because I was really hoping to go this weekend! We have never been but it looks so neat. Great pictures!
You look so beautiful, Kristin! I would love to visit the library soon. Looks liek you all had much fun!
