31 Weeks & Ultrasound

8 weeks to go! It's absolutely crazy how fast this pregnancy is flying! With the holidays coming, I know the next 8 weeks are going to be the fastest yet!

Things have been so smooth this pregnancy. What a blessing!!

On Saturday though, I was having some constant, intense pain on my right side. I have been having Braxt0n Hicks contractions since very early on in my pregnancy and lots of scar tissue pain from the c-section, but this was different and more intense. I knew they weren't contractions even though they were consistant, I just didn't know for sure what was going on.

I didn't think too much about it until I had a little spotting. I remained calm (unusual!) and called my doctor's office. The nurse on call called me back and asked a LOT of questions! She determined that the pain was only round ligament pain and the spotting was nothing to worry about. What a relief! EJ & I stayed home on Sunday and rested just to be sure.

Yesterday we had a growth ultrasound to see how big our peanut was getting. She is usually quite a wiggle worm all day, but yesterday she was so calm. We got lots of good pictures of her face!!

She looks exactly like EJ!! They have the exact same nose and lips. It is amazing how much you can already tell how alike they look from these ultrasound pictures!! One other thing we noticed and the u/s tech pointed out....she has very chubby cheeks! :)

Precious little pumpkin

She weighs a little over 4 lbs and is in the 63rd percentile; measuring about 1 week ahead. My doctor said she is right on track.

She is in a breech position, so we'll have to wait and see if she flips on her own.

I told my doctor that I'd like to try for a VBAC, but we'll see at the next few ultrasounds how big she ends up being! Plus, if she doesn't flip it looks like she'll make the decision regarding a c-section for me!

What a blessing these little children are to our lives!!
