There's a Dish Carnival Going On

Over at Rocks in My Dryer, there's a Spur-of-the-Moment-Dish-Carnival. I decided to jump in and allow you to tour my dishes galore.

These are my everyday dishes by Phaltzgraff. I have been in love with this pattern since I was a little girl. In college, I decided I would go ahead a purchase 12 piece place setting. They sat in my parents attic for a few years until I got my own home.

The first time I served dinner to my husband (at the time my boyfriend), he got a strange look on his face. He said that these were his mom's dishes. Sure enough, I share a love for this pattern with my mother-in-law.

I have another set of plain white every dishes that I keep on hand, just in case. They are fairly non-descript but they are dishes none the less.

Years ago, my mom began giving me pieces of my Christmas china, Holiday Platinum by Lenox. I have an 8 piece place setting that I enjoy from after Thanksgiving through the holiday season.

Not only are these pieces elegant, they are dishwasher safe as well. I can't think of anything better!

Finally, my wedding china. This pattern is St. Moritz by Wedgewood. Hubby & I were fortunate to receive 16 place settings from our registry. We both come from large families, so the more the better.

I've yet to use these dishes. However, after reading about everyone's china, I'm tempted to use them at Sunday dinner. Even if it's just me & my hubby.

I hope you enjoyed my tour. For more dish-o-rama, head over to Rocks in My Dryer.

Pretty! I love the elegant simplicity of your fine china.

You proved to your MIL that you have great taste twice over. First in the dish department, then with her son! :-)
